Behavior Solutions

Addressing Unwanted Behavior

Agility dogs can struggle with behaviors that get in the way of training, competing, and enjoying the sport. Things like:

Reactivity - to dogs, humans, sounds and motion.

Fear - afraid of many things in everyday life. Low confidence.

Anxiety - separation anxiety, car anxiety, worried, frustration, and over-arousal.

I work exclusively with agility dogs, so behavior solutions are designed with the sport, the training environment, and your performance goals in mind.

Your dog doesn't have to continue to struggle. A behavior modification plan can put your dog on the path to greater confidence.

When Emotions Get in the Way

Behavior change can make your dog's world and agility experience much better.

We'll look beyond the behavior problem to understand why it's happening and create a practical, science-based plan for change.

Whether your dog is reactive, fearful, anxious, overwhelmed, or struggling to regulate their emotions, I'll help you build the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to thrive in agility.

We'll start with a one hour Behavior Consult on Zoom or in-person. I'll give you practical strategies for changing behavior and be with you every step of the way. Joining my private coaching program will give you the support you need for lasting change. Click contact to get started.

Building Resilient Agility Teams

I've been working with Laura with anxiety issues with one of my agility dogs. First, I have to say that the extent of her knowledge and experience with canine behavior is immense! She was immediately able to pinpoint the underlying causes of my dog's issues. We've been working through her protocols and lessons. I'm happy to report that there has been great improvement! I so appreciate the level of kindness and empathy Laura has for handlers going thru this stuff with their dogs.
